Mounting Methods
  • Mounting plates for wood floors are designed to span three 16" center floor joists. They must be anchored securely to the joists with lag bolts. Typically, the subflooring is cut to the shape of the mounting plate and removed so that the plate rests directly on the joists. In some cases, it is suitable to mount the plate on top of the subfloor. However, the lag bolts must go securely into the joists.
  • Mounting plates for cement floors may be utilized by drilling holes in the cement floor and by using cement anchors. Another method is to order the table frame with a longer post - eliminating the mounting plate. Then, core drill the cement floor and cement the vertical post directly into a hole beneath the floor.
Mounting Plate
  • The mounting plate is ½" thick. The head of a lag bolt, together with a washer, makes the overall thickness ¾" including the mounting plate.

Sleeve

  • The sleeve may be welded on the mounting plate as much as 4" off center if special positioning (such as under a lighting fixture) is necessary.
Installation
  • Post shims are provided so height adjustments may be made to achieve desired table to floor distances.
  • The mounting plate is typically recessed to allow the finished floor to cover them. When this is not possible, the plate may be covered with any desired material.
  • Whenever possible, it is recommended that additional blocking is placed between the floor joists under and around the mounting plate.
Table Tops
  • Table tops should be ordered at your local counter top supplier.
